EPSXE TUTORIAL

1. Firstly, Download ePSXe emulator, from this website: http://www.epsxe.com/files/epsxe160.zip

2. Alright, after its downloaded you'll see lots of files, you're probably thinking the same thing I did, WTF!? Don't worry,
Just look through the next steps, its easier then it looks.

3. So, Make a folder on you're desktop, call it somthing like "PS1 Emulator" or somthing, now highlight all the files in
the eosxe160-2.zip ( The thing you just downloaded ) into that folder.

4. After thats done, go into the PSX folder on you're desktop and click the little "ePSXe" icon (The little ps1 controller)
and it'll come up with a menu, you're probably shitting you'reself now, no worries.

5. To get ePSXe working, you need plugins, Such as BIOS plugins, and Video plugins. The plugins really speak for themselves,
the names do what there supposed to do. Plugins are vital for ePSXe as there the main thing you'll need to get the whole
program up and running perfectly.

You'll need a series of plugins to play ePSXe right, and here they are.

6.BIOS = scph1001 - Download:
(IM NOT ALLOWED TO TELL YOU ITS ILLEAGAL! D: Just search "scph1001" on google, and click the fifth link.)

WARNING: This will download directly to you're harddrive, so on you're download page, right click the file and select
Open containing folder. As shown here: (Don't paste the brackets =D)
After you've got you're file, go into the PSX Emu folder on you're desktop and paste it into the "BIOS" folder.

VIDEO = Petes Open GL Driver 1.76 - Download: http://www.ngemu.com/download.php?action=plugin&id=1

When you open this Zip, you will by given a series of files, with Notepad files, and DLL's, the notepad files don't matter
its the DLL's. Put the DLL's from the Archive zip, into the PSX Emu folder on you're desktop and paste them into the
"PLUGINS" folder.

SOUND = Andys SPU Audio Driver 0.16 - Download: http://www.ngemu.com/download.php?action=plugin&id=22

Once again, when you get this, you'll have acess to about 3 files, ignore the notepad ones, and get the DLL and put it
into the PSX Emu folder on you're desktop and paste it into the "PLUGINS" folder.

(You'll have options on the CD plugins part, so listen up!)

CD = (2 Options) {1ST OPTION} If you're playing an IMG use = Mooby 2 CD Disk Image Driver 2.8 - Download:
http://www.ngemu.com/download.php?action=plugin&id=4.

Once again, you're file will have a DLL and Notepad file, Grab the DLL and go into the PSX Emu folder on you're desktop
and paste it into the "PLUGINS" folder.

CD = (2 Options) {2nd OPTION} If you're playing other files, E.g MDF or BIN files, use = Xeven's CDR Driver 0.93
Download: http://www.ngemu.com/download.php?action=plugin&id=36

Again, you know the drill, Get the "cdrXeven.dll" and put it in you're plugins folder.

CONTROLLER = (Im not actually sure how to use these myself as I don't need one, but, here goes...)

I DONT KNOW D: IM SORREH! Im sure you wont need this though as there is a Gamepad config thing already built in ePSXe by
going onto Config -> Gamepad
7.
Ok, so you're probably wondering what to do with all these plugins you've put in all the folders, well, this is what you
do! Open up ePSXe and go to Config -> Wizard Guide. A box will show up, the guide will show up in a box, giving you a step
by step run-through of the plugins. It will go in this order. BIOS, VIDEO, SOUND, CD and CONTROLLER.

8.
Firstly, It'll say a bunch of writing, just ignore this and hit the "Config" button.

Seciondly, select the BIOS, there will only be one option, "scph 1001" Select it, and click next.

Now, it'll go onto Video plugins there will be lots of options, just select "Petes OpenGL Driver 17.6" but DON'T click
"next!" Hit "Config" and put in these options:

Once again, don't
paste in the brackets.

After this, were on the sound Plugin, there will be a few options, just select "Andy's SPU Audio driver 0.16." no config
needed, just hit "Next!"

LASTLY!, Onto CD Plugin! There will be sevral plugins once again, but you know the 2 we need, thats right, if you've been
reading, you'll know we need "Mooby's and Xevens" CD Plugins.

8a.
So, we'll start with mooby's. On the CD plugin box, select
"Mooby2 CD Disk image driver 2.8" and select config. It should come up with a grey config box, just tick "Repeat all CDDA
Tracks" and put the CDDA Volume up to 0.05. Also, Select "Enable subchannel Data" and put the cache size to 1, if its not
already on that. After configuration, go to "File -> Run CDRom" and select either IMG file. SUCSESS! YOU CAN PLAY YOU'RE
GAME! Now, You're probably asking you'reself. Medinus, why don't you just use Xeven's? Well, if you use this method to
play ISO's, it gives perfect results, Sound is perfect, no lagg. Its the best way possible., you may think this is a big
waste of time, really it isn't.

8b.
Now were on Xeven's CD plugin, this is very complicated, so listen carefully. If you select "Xeven's Cdr Driver 0.93"
and press config, there wont be very much options, and you don't even need to configure, but don't be fooled, this is
pretty hard. Anyway, on the config menu, you'll see drives, this is what you'll need to play games. To play a game on a
drive, you'll need to put it onto a drive, so you can select it on that Plugin, and play it, still with me? Anyway, to
put a game on a drive, you must download a thing called "DAEMON TOOLS" Download: ( Below )
FileHippo.com - Download Free Software <-- (DAEMON TOOLS LINK)
Now, after you have installed this correctly, you should see a little red lighting bolt way bottom left on the screen (Were the time is shown). Now, right click the Red lighting bolt and select "Virtual CD/DVD Rom -> Set Number Of Devices -> 4" This will
Tell DEAMON TOOLS to set 4 Drives, to put 4 types of file on. Now, go onto "Xeven's Plugin -> Config", do you see a
differnce? You can now put the file you want to play on ePSXe onto deamon tools and play it! (Screeny Below)

No bracket pasting now. Anyway, after you've done this, right click
DEAMON TOOLS "Virtual CD/DVD Rom -> "Device 0: [F:] No Media -> Mount Image" Now, mount you're file, Wether it be ISO,
BIN, IMG, MDF, any playable ePSXe rom file and mount it, wait for it to load.

9.
Alright, After its loaded, go into the plugin, you will see the driver you put it on will have changed, Wether you put it
on driver F, E, G, or H. (Its the same on the plugin, E.g, if you mounted you're file on driver F, the top one on the
plugin, it would have mounted to the top driver and changed.) Anyway, select the driver you mounted you're game on, hit
"Ok" Now, go to "File -> Run CD Rom!"

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE, I JUST REMEMBERED: TO GET THE SOUND WORKING PROPERLY, GO TO "CONFIG -> SOUND" TICK THE FIRST THREE
